When he first appears, his native form-the Despair Embodied, a fiery horned hermaphrodite with angelic wings-is gestating inside of a chrysalis composed of the reanimated corpses of assorted bosses from games 1 and 2. He’s capable of channeling their power while in this form. He is portrayed as a semi-amorphous creature with three orb-like eyes who takes the form of a white-skinned seraph with a third eye on his forehead and a scar on his chest.
